Updated 3/16/26 — I’ll continue to update this article each week as I track where the Bills scouts have been confirmed at college pro days. In addition to the usual SEC, BIG10, and ACC schools, the Bills have been to ProDays of several teams to see players not scouted in the regular season games (Illinois St, Fresno St, Army, Delaware, Oregon St). I’m including potential Preferred Free Agents, usually ranked above #250.
Let me know in the comments if you have a different name. Shout-out to @alexkatson, my trusted source for all things Combine and Pro Day. I’ll keep them in order by their rank on my BuffaloFAMBase Big Board, which you can use on FanSpeak’s simulator here.
DAY ONE
Peter Woods, Clemson, ANY DL Position (#19 on BuffaloFAMBase BB) —Woods is positionless. He split time between DT and DE, and that line-stunting will still be useful to the Bills in PESO. Woods put up 2 solos 3 asst vs ‘Cuse in a scouted game, playing next to DeMonte Capehart, and both Woods and Capehart weighed the same at 315 –and that was a Bills’ 4-2-5 archetype. He’s still a fit anywhere on the Bills line. I like his efficient hands, active feet, and overall movement. You see excellent run and chase ability, a twitchy get-off, outstanding upfield burst, and play strength at the POA. Will Woods be there at #26 when the Bills are on the clock? Not likely, but occasionally his name appears in sims where more teams draft for need. Clemson was the early leader in scouted games, and ended up Top 5 in scouted schools.
T. J. Parker, Clemson, SSDE (#26 on BuffaloFAMBase BB) —Other than Woods, I can’t think of a better fit for Jim Leonhard’s defensive line than TJ Parker. Parker would be our second TJ on the line, but more consistent than the other one: 3 solo tackles in each of 3 scouted games in 2025, against ‘Cuse, LSU, and GT. He possesses violent hands, the requisite ability to set the strongside edge, and a nonstop motor (21.5 career college sacks, many because he doesn’t quit). Parker’s “stout” playstyle makes him the ideal anchor. He “gets home” with regularity; he has 16.5 sacks and 33 tackles for loss over the past 2 seasons.
R Mason Thomas, Oklahoma, Jack OLB (#43 on BuffaloFAMBase BB) — Thomas ranks top 5 in pressures, but he only had 1 tackle in the scouted game vs Michigan. Thomas is frequently described as a “tweener”, with the frame of a large LB but with the explosiveness of a DE, making him ideal for a weakside “Jack” OLB/DE role in Leonhard’s defense. He was fifth in the SEC with 9.0 sacks in 2024, 10th in 2025. His explosion is elite (think Javon Solomon). He gets off the ball “like a bat out of hell.” I have a great feeling about as many as three Oklahoma Sooners becoming Bills in April, as they are the most-scouted school in 2025.
DAY TWO
Gabe Jacas, Illinois, Heavy 4i / Peso SSDE (#49 on BuffaloFAMBase BB) —You’ll like Jacas’s tremendous play strength and push, and love his demeanor, but he’ll need to develop a more varied pass-rush repertoire. Not to worry, though: Bills DL Coach Terrence Jamison spent the last five seasons at the University of Illinois (2021–2025), serving most recently as Co-DC and DL coach. Lance Zierlein’s comp for Jacas, a wrestler, is Matthew Judon.
Ja’Kobi Lane, USC, WR ‘X’ (#74 on BuffaloFAMBase BB)—Very few ‘X’ receivers had more productive games for Bills scouts in 2025 –6 catches for 111 yards (18.5 ypr) with 1TD in front of Gray and Fisher vs Notre Dame, for example. When the Bills’ lead scouts Terrence Gray and Brian Fisher attend a game, you watch it! Lane dominated the passing lanes. I have yet to watch the full USC-Illinois game where Lane put up a less-gaudy 4-39 (9.8 ypr) in a scouted 2025 loss to Illinois. Lane possesses more prototypical size and traits than his bookend teammate, Top 10 darling Makai Lemon, but Ja’Kobi is still an option with a high ceiling as he grows his route tree.
Kamari Ramsey, USC, FS (#75 on BuffaloFAMBase BB) —Ramsey would have been a good consideration at #60, and he won’t be there at #91, but Beane may recapture his second rounder. Ramsey didn’t play in the scouted game vs Illinois. He was a surprise scratch due to a bout with food poisoning that occurred on the Friday night before the game. His tackling aplomb (3.2% missed tackle rate) and his ability to neutralize TEs (watch his 2024 performance against Penn State’s Tyler Warren and Notre Dame’s Eli Raridon in the 2025 scouted game) add him to my list. His coach was D’Anton Lynn, assistant DC for the Buffalo Bills under Rex Ryan fom 2015 to 2016. Lynn moves to Penn State for 2026.
Deion Burks, Oklahoma, WRS (#99 on BuffaloFAMBase BB) —Burks impressed in 3 of 4 scouted games, 7-101 (14.4) and a TD vs Michigan, 3 for 36 (12.0) vs Temple, and 4 for 32 (8.0) vs Ole Miss. His clunker was 2 catches for -2 yards vs Mizzou in the scouted fourth game. He’d be your YAC and Kick Return guy (7.6 YAC per reception in 2025). While he isn’t an elite deep threat with a low average depth of target, Burks excels as a short-range weapon and a blocker out of the slot. With 278 career kick return yards, Burks also brings value on special teams. He’d offer more than Zachariah Branch as a returner and to rest Shakir.
DAY THREE
Taylen Green, Arkansas, QB (#139 on BuffaloFAMBase BB) —Top QB RAS at Combine at 6057, 227, 4.36. Taylen is a raw, developmental option who will need time to adapt to life in the pros, so he’s going to a team with an established QB, like Josh Allen?? Should he get to late RD4, Green would be a nice multi-year project for the right coaching staff….Pros: Green cut down on penalties in 2025, and cut down fumbles from 12 in 2024 to 5 in 2025, and the rare size and mass is Josh-like, as is his rocket arm. Shoulders and feet aligned when throwing from clean pocket, examples of working to backside reads, and his attributes (34 6/8” arms; 1.55 10-yard split; 43.5” vertical; 11’2” broad jump) all just ooze potential. Green had an incredible scouted game against Ole Miss, and his hometown has been visited by Bills.
J.C. Davis, Illinois, LT (#151 on BuffaloFAMBase BB) —Jamison knew Thompson and Jacas, and had to get around JC Davis, one of the best pass-blocking tackles in the country, in practice.
Eric Gentry, WILB (#163 on BuffaloFAMBase BB) —4 solos 3 asst vs ND also in front of Gray and Fisher. Watch Gentry punch out a fumble in the scouted loss to Illinois. Known for his exceptional seven-foot-plus wingspan, Gentry is one of the 2025 Draft’s five-lightest linebackers, yet his presence is felt on the field: Scouts note he could “use more sand in the pants” to bolster his build. Standing at an albatrossian 6’7″ with 35-inch arms, he naturally clogs passing lanes and bats down balls at a rate uncommon for off-ball linebackers. Gentry’s USC’s season leader in TFLs, and those creepers are part of a Jim Leonhard defense. He does need wings, though.
J’Mari Taylor, Virginia, RB (#195 on BuffaloFAMBase BB) —Virginia’s J’Mari Taylor went to the Delaware Pro Day. Bills scouts were there when J’Mari tallied 150 rushing yards on 17 carries and tied his career-high of 3 rushing touchdowns at NC State, forcing ELEVEN (!!) missed tackles against the Wolfpack. In fact, the Bills went to four Virginia games this year. Showing he’s not a one-hit wonder, Taylor carried the ball 21 times for 105 yards and 2 TDs against Cal, another scouted game. Beane probably won’t realistically draft a RB, but if he did, Taylor would be worth a look with one of Beane’s last 3 picks.
Adam Randall, Clemson, RB (#202 on BuffaloFAMBase BB) —Adam crushed ‘Cuse in the 2025 scouted game against the Orange, notching 16 carries for 130 (8.1 ypc) rushing and 7 catches for 44 and a TD. Randall also put up 15 carries for 80 (5.3) and a TD in the 2025 scouted loss to Georgia Tech. Fun fact: Randall Jr. served as the backup ‘Y’ to Antonio Williams before switching to RB. A field-stretcher with a positive attitude, Randall is built robustly, like a brick outhouse. Randall maintained a career catch rate of 55%, which is expected for a player of his field-stretching capabilities. His athleticism and work ethic make him an intriguing prospect, certainly in play as one of Beane’s last 3 “flier” picks.
Fernando Carmona, Arkansas, LG (#213 on BuffaloFAMBase BB) –Recognized as SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week twice in 2024, Carmona never missed a game in his 35 appearances. His burly build with short arms led his OC to move him to guard in 2025 after three seasons at LT, and he’s a LG in the pros. He’s tough and plays with maximum effort. Carmona’s contributions were pivotal in San Jose State’s co-regular season Mountain West Championship, leading to his transfer to Arkansas for the 2024 season to try SEC competition. I like his aggressiveness and competitive nature, so he’s obviously a potential roomie for Alec Anderson.
Robert Spears-Jennings, Oklahoma, SS (#221 on BuffaloFAMBase BB) — Spears-Jennings put up 11 tackles (8 solo), and 1 TFL vs scouted Ole Miss, with 1 solo, 4 asst in the scouted game vs Michigan, and 1 solo, 5 assists vs Mizzou. He played for new Bills CBs coach Jay Valai with the Sooners last season. Also, the Sooners recently brought our front-office wiz Lake Dawson onto their staff under Jim Nagy as Sr. Assistant GM. While the Bills have brought in Safety help via free agency, you need to add youth in a strong class. RS-J is willing to attack downhill and get physical. He finished second on the team in tackles (66), first in forced fumbles (4), and third in total snaps (599).
Wisconsin=Mason Reiger,EDGE (#228 on BuffaloFAMBase BB)—Reiger had 3 solos, 2 assists, and a TFL in a scouted game vs Michigan, and piled up 3 sacks (including a strip sack) during the Shrine Bowl game…2025 Highlights We see him as a high-impact pass rusher with strong athleticism, not that fast. Reiger was at Louisville before this year, so he didn’t run into Jim Leonhard directly.
PFA
Jalon Daniels, Kansas, QB (#233 on BuffaloFAMBase BB)—Sometimes careless with the ball, always a dual threat, he’s maybe the closest thing I’ve seen to Mike Vick. The redshirt Junior can hurt you with his legs and his arm, and is so personable that he’d be a welcome QB3 in that room. This is his fifth year at Kansas, logging almost a mile –5,102 total passing yards– in his career, despite being sidelined by back issues for most of the 2023 season. The Bills scouts saw him once in 2023 vs Illinois, a 34-23 win where Jalon compiled a middling 21/29-277-(9.6) day with 2 TDs passing against 1 INT.
Cameron Ball, Arkansas, Heavy 4i / Peso DT1T-3T, (#240 on BuffaloFAMBase BB)–Ball played two years with Joe Andreesen before changing schools, twice. I like his quickness, athleticism, and nonstop effort; he’s less effective vs double-teams, and needs strength and refinement. His interview is tied with Deven Eastern‘s of Minnesota for best interview of the D-Liners.
Daniel Sobkowicz, Illinois State, WR ‘X’ (#244 on BuffaloFAMBase BB)—Bills scouts attended the Pro Day for the No. 2 FCS prospect, an ‘X’ receiver who had a monster senior campaign: 19 TD receptions, 257 career catches (school record). Career totals 3,507 career receiving yards ∙ 40 career receiving TD, both #1 among all Division I players (FBS and FCS) …Coach Brock Spack describes him as “a very good route runner” who is “sudden, quick, can bend his knees and get in and out of cuts and change directions”. Fun fact: Mike Grant (Assistant Coach, Illinois State) participated in the Bill Walsh NFL Minority Internship Program with the Buffalo Bills in 2013.
James Thompson Jr., Illinois, Slasher 4i / Peso SSDE (#312 on BuffaloFAMBase BB). Remember new Bills DL Coach Terrence Jamison spent the last five seasons at the University of Illinois (2021–2025), serving most recently as Co-DC and DL coach. Jamison knew Thompson and Jacas, and had to get around JC Davis, one of the best pass-blocking tackles in the country, in practice.
Jordan van den Berg, Georgia Tech, Slasher 4i (#321 on BuffaloFAMBase BB) —I started paying attention to van den Berg at Penn State, where he set the Nittany Lions’ all-time squat record (615×4). When he moved to Georgia Tech, saw increased interest from the Bills in scouting Yellow Jackets. The Johannesburg, South Africa native logged 3 assists and .5 TFL vs Georgia, then 2 solo tackles in the Clemson game. He has recorded a 4.74 40-yard dash and a 31-inch vertical, and benches 35 times. This extra “twitch” allows him to penetrate gaps more effectively, perfect for the 4i “Slasher” position.
Skyler Thomas, Oregon St, SS (#338 on BuffaloFAMBase BB)—Starting all 12 games, Skyler Thomas led Oregon State with 78 tackles. He added one interception, two QB hurries, and four pass breakups. In the scouted game, he finished with 8 tackles at Oregon. Thomas is both intense and sincere at the same time [interview]. Again, the Bills are likely set for starters and backups at SAF, but it’s a deep class, ripe for PFA cherry-picking.
Al’Zillion Hamilton, Fresno State, CB (#371 on BuffaloFAMBase BB) —RB Coach Kelly Skipper’s alma mater got a visit on their Pro Day after no scouted visits to games. Nickel…Noah Chang calls Al’Zillion an “instinctive ball hawk who utilizes outstanding route recognition to fluidly tempo match & stick to WRs throughout the route… sudden trigger & twitchy precise feet make him a hidden gem…” James Foster at NoFlagsFilm adds that Hamilton is a “great fit for any scheme that runs a lot of quarters or off-man. Reads WRs like a book in off coverage, good timing & closing burst into passing lanes. 8 INT/21 PBU over the last 3 years.” He boasts the 3rd-lowest passer rating when targeted among CBs in his conference.
Army=Noah Short, WRS (Not Listed), but Noah’s the first player in Army history to record 1,000 career rushing yards and 1,000 career receiving yards. Perhaps the offense will get them some positionless players to stress defensive coordinators.
Unconfirmed as of now: Miami, Purdue, Navy, Kentucky.
