A Must-Have Book, Great Gift for Bills Fans

Book: One Bills Drive: The Buffalo Bills’ Greatest Home Games, 1973-2025

Authors: Greg D. Tranter and Budd Bailey

ISBN: 9781681066257

My very good friend Del Reid, Founder of 26shirts.com and the BuffaloFAMbase.com website contacted me to see if I would be interested in reviewing a book about the history of the BuffaloBills at what is now called Highmark Stadium in Orchard Park, New York.

Imagine my surprise when this gem showed up in our mailbox in Wyoming.

Having an unabashed love of physical books, I ripped open the package. The book I’ve always wanted but never knew I needed revealed itself. This glossy 153 page coffee table size book full of illustrations of the 50 greatest games played by the Buffalo Bills at Highmark Stadium is a trip down memory lane for any Bills fan who reads it.

It is written lovingly by two people who are obviously life long fans of the team. This book is a great reference for fading memories of older Bills fans like myself. Each game they highlight Box Scores and noteworthy information that stood out for each contest.

The introduction details the history of the Buffalo Bills since their inception as a member of the American Football League in 1960. The book begins with the Redskins preseason game on August 17, 1973 and goes all the way to the Ravens at Bills playoff game on January 19, 2025.

This book, this beautifully laid out physical book is a treasure for any ardent Bills fan.

However, older folks like myself may also find it an interesting way to look back over their own lives. Where were you in life when the (then) Greatest Comeback game happened? I found myself doing a review of my own life as I went along the chronologically highlighted games.

This book is also a great reference when looking back at exactly what happened during each game along the way. Not only a great read, but a fun way to keep the facts straight when discussing the history of the Buffalo Bills at Highmark Stadium with family and friends.

I wholeheartedly enjoyed reading this book from start to finish and thank the authors for their time and diligent research necessary to compile the data.
