We’re back at it today with training camp practice open to the public at St. John Fisher College at Pittsford after a closed practice on Tuesday (open to media only). This is when it gets down and dirty, so let’s get ready to roll!
I will publish these collated tweets at the conclusion of each practice. Also, be sure to look for Dean Kindig’s “Astro-Notes” each day (after 9:45 a.m. practices) around 1 p.m. ET. You definitely don’t want to miss his insight for each practice he attends.
Just for jollies I might add some of my own comments as we move through practice (oh no…)
Let’s get it, Bills fans!
LeSean McCoy won’t practice. He’s been excused for personal reasons. #Bills
— Matt Parrino (@MattParrino) July 31, 2019
Mitch Morse will miss practice because he’s in concussion protocol.
— Matthew Fairburn (@MatthewFairburn) July 31, 2019
LeSean McCoy (personal reasons), Spencer Long (knee) and Mitch Morse (concussion protocol) will not practice today#Bills
— Marcel Louis-Jacques (@Marcel_LJ) July 31, 2019
Mccoy won’t practice and has been excused. Sean: “It’s something we’ve known about for awhile now”
— Josh Reed (@4JoshReed) July 31, 2019
Spencer Long won’t practice due to knee soreness. #Bills
— Chris Brown (@ChrisBrownBills) July 31, 2019
Mitch Morse is in the concussion protocol, Sean McDermott tells the media this morning. He’s had issues with concussions and was one of the concerns/talking points when the #Bills gave him the big contract this offseason.
— Matt Parrino (@MattParrino) July 31, 2019
Kroft is out of his waking boot but there’s still no timetable for his return
— Josh Reed (@4JoshReed) July 31, 2019
McDermott: number of guys out on OL is a concern, but encouraged by the mental toughness of the group. #Bills
— Chris Brown (@ChrisBrownBills) July 31, 2019
Eight referees just walked towards the field. Unless I’m forgetting a day, this will be the first time this training camp officials will be on the field @WKBW
— Matthew Bové (@Matt_Bove) July 31, 2019
Sean McDermott: "The number of guys we have out is concerning, but it does give an opportunity for other guys to step up."
— Prescott Rossi (@PrescottRossi) July 31, 2019
“When you look up tough in the dictionary you see Frank Gore’s photo next to it” said Sean McDermott #Bills pic.twitter.com/sbSIxhDfWB
— Nathaniel Mendelson (@NateMendelson) July 31, 2019
Yes, which makes me wonder if it was really a “maintenance day” two days ago. I’m thinking he’s in step 2/3 of concussion protocol based on aerobic exercises on the sideline yesterday.
— Bills Backers Kansas City (@BillsBackersKC) July 31, 2019
McDermott mentions Ray-Ray McCloud as one of the receivers after the top five who has impressed early in training camp. #Bills
— Jay Skurski (@JaySkurski) July 31, 2019
McDermott added he believes that Gore’s toughness is ‘contagious’ to the entire team
— Dan Fetes (@danfetes) July 31, 2019
While not good, video yesterday shows he’s in about stage 2 of the concussion protocol. Considering he’s had a history of concussions, right move. No timetable on when he returns as each concussion is different. #Bills https://t.co/AqmoxxM0Zo
— Banged Up Bills (@BangedUpBills) July 31, 2019
McDermott says Morse was diagnosed yesterday, but does not mention when the injury occurred. #Bills
— Jay Skurski (@JaySkurski) July 31, 2019
Sean McDermott says Stephen Hauschka is off to a good start to training camp, looking good physically and in a good space mentally. #Bills
— Jay Skurski (@JaySkurski) July 31, 2019
Concussion symptoms can be delayed, team didn’t miss anything. Morse would have to self report unless there was a collision that warranted further review. Medical team would most likely act as concussion spotters during camp. #Bills https://t.co/BG7JMAf1vD
— Banged Up Bills (@BangedUpBills) July 31, 2019
Morse in concussion protocol but is at practice without pads and did take a few snaps with Josh Allen pic.twitter.com/BIrjt2CZpv

Bobby Johnson brings a completely new energy to the #Bills o-line. He’s dialed in from the moment practice starts until it ends. Watch him here coaching each rep in this drill. So much intensity. pic.twitter.com/T0cbm5D6O7

Throw in the fact that two were in 2015, Morse is fine. Great sign that it's mild that he's been participating and still working out. Probably more precautionary than anything. https://t.co/udAbbSFlAW

Ty Nsekhe is working in with the first-team OL for both rookie Cody Ford at right tackle and Dion Dawkins at left tackle. First bit of an extended rotation as we’ve seen at tackle. Ford & Dawkins had been with the ones through the first five days of camp. #Bills

Thanks Robyn! It’s nice to catch up on what happened during practice at lunchtime (much appreciated!)
I know the Bills haven’t played an actual game yet, but the O-line looks night and day without Morse in the lineup. It also makes me more excited to see Ed Oliver in live action.
