Are you ready for the 3rd training camp practice? Maybe today is the day the pads go on. I’m here to collect tweets from our great collection of journalists and fan reporters.
I will publish these collated tweets at the conclusion of each practice. Also, be sure to look for Dean Kindig’s “Astro-Notes” each day (after 9:45 a.m. practices) around 1 p.m. ET. You definitely don’t want to miss his insight for each practice he attends.
Just for jollies I might add some of my own comments as we move through practice (oh no…)
Let’s get it, Bills fans!

Some interesting Brian Daboll notes … said he’s seen a motivated LeSean McCoy who is all business. Brought up Ray-Ray McCloud unprompted as a player who has made a big jump. Said Josh Allen is has become a big “idea guy” as he’s taken more ownership of the offense.

Brown gains separation vs White on the blaze out. White jammed Brown at the LOS but Brown executed a forearm pull to clean his frame. Separate and toe tapped along the sideline.

Foster gets deep for a TD vs Pitts. First big play by Foster so far in camp.
— Cover 1 (@Cover_1_) July 27, 2019
Foster straight up outran Pitts for the biggest play so far. Then Beasley works Kevin Johnson on the other side of the field. Followed up by Brown with another great route and catch. Good to see some actual WR talent.

His best day of #BillsCamp so far
Starting offense going against air now and running plays. No defense. And Ty Nsekhe is at RT instead of Cody Ford. No other changes from my previous tweet. We may be seeing a rotation starting.
— Sal Capaccio 🏈 (@SalSports) July 27, 2019
Zay looked great as well, several stellar routes. One got Kevin Johnson at first, but his short area quickness let him recover and knock the ball down. KJ has looked good too

— Matthew Bové (@Matt_Bove) July 27, 2019
Might’ve been a sack in a game, but Allen steps up in the pocket and mails John Brown in the end zone from 55yds out — all of which were air yards. First deep ball in team drills I’ve seen at Bills camp
— Marcel Louis-Jacques (@Marcel_LJ) July 27, 2019
Wow! Josh Allen goes deep to John Brown, who bobbled for a second befor hailing it in. The get away speed of Brown left Levi Wallace in the dust. Great grab and great throw. We’re in full 11-on-11 now offense working from the 50. #Bills
— Matt Parrino (@MattParrino) July 27, 2019
Josh Allen just completes a deep bomb to John Brown from a muddy pocket. Brown’s ability to track the deep ball will pair nicely with Allen’s ability to chuck it.
— Matthew Fairburn (@MatthewFairburn) July 27, 2019
Lots of 21, 22 and 13 personnel spread looks. Bills looking to pass out of it. Keeping Bills D in base.

Quick burst gives him 2 steps separation on Levi Wallace and comes down with ball on deep route up left sideline.#Bills
DiMarco getting a lot of burn today as they are working on more heavy sets for first day in pads. I have DiMarco as a roster kick and get killed for that but 🤷♂️

Another bomb from Allen off the jet fake to Beasley. Allen hit Brown on a deep post for a TD. Levi was completely out of phase vs Brown. Brown is on 🔥🔥🔥
— Cover 1 (@Cover_1_) July 27, 2019
And another Allen to Brown connection. This one for 50 plus and a touchdown. Brown has been the star of camp thus far.

Thanks again Robyn!
Thank YOU for reading, Steve!!!
You’re welcome! It’s great to read how the team is doing in practice, it’s something I always look forward to as the unofficial start of the season, especially this year with the 18 new free agents. I think the Bills are going to surprise a lot of people this year.
Are you going to the first preseason game vs The Colts?
