to work with WGRZ-TV

We are pleased to announce a new affiliation in the Western New York market with WGRZ-TV, Channel 2 as the preferred television station of, @TheBillsMafia and other related social media.

This affiliation will provide greater exposure on local television for the #BillsMafia “FAMbase” that exists on social networks such as Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. Our logos and marks will be featured on-screen in special segments with WGRZ-TV sports anchor Jonah Javad (@JonahJavad). Javad will seek opinion and ideas from the BillsMafia on Twitter, and the responses will often be featured on Javad’s on-air segments. We will also be promoting each other’s web content.

By forming this alliance with WGRZ-TV, our mission is to further channel the passion of WNY football fans and our charitable endeavors in the community. Proceeds from are donated to the “Carly’s Club” pediatric cancer treatment initiative at Roswell Park Cancer Institute and other local charities.

Please note, this new relationship of exclusivity with WGRZ-TV does not apply to stations outside the Buffalo market, or other types of media such as radio, websites or podcasts.

4/17/13: Update! Check out the recording below, with Del Reid and Jonah Javad announcing from the WGRZ set: is not directly affiliated with the Buffalo Bills organization, the NFL, or Roswell Park Cancer Institute.

About Del Reid

Del Reid became a Bills fan shortly after coming into this world, having been raised in a home that actually had a framed picture of OJ Simpson on the wall in the living room (until it came down in 1994). Del has always had a passion for bringing people together to celebrate things they share in common. As a result, he (quite accidentally) ended up co-founding the #BillsMafia movement among Bills fans in social media -- which to this point is the coolest thing that has ever happened to him aside from his relationship with God, his wife, and his two awesome kids. Follow him on Twitter at @mrdeadlier.

  1. We’ve received a lot of kind words regarding this. Thanks.

Breyon, Leslie & I are excited at the opportunity to showcase the Mafia’s passion & more importantly do some serious good in the WNY community. It’s a win/win!

Thank you, WGRZ and Jonah Javad, for reaching out to us in the first place with this great opportunity.

  3. You really are limiting yourself. Shame on you. Not everyone watches WGRZ. What about WIVB, YNN and WKBW?

    • Well, Ryan Fitzpatrick, :) none of the other stations ever contacted us to offer anything like this opportunity…
