Mafia “Monday” Interview with @BillsMafiaDon

Pro Player Insiders (web: ProPlayerInsiders.com, Twitter: @PlayerInsiders) is working to expand its scope from player perspective stories to also include the fans of the NFL, engaging with the league’s most passionate fanbases. We are proud to be the FIRST fanbase they contacted and are looking forward to helping blaze this trail for them.
Mafia Monday

Pro Player Insiders

The first visible example of our partnership is the cross-posting of our weekly feature, “Mafia Monday.” Mafia Monday was a very popular feature last year, where we interview a selected member of the FAMbase. This is an interactive element where members of our community can get to know each other and build unity by becoming a little transparent.

Week 6’s Mafia “Monday” interview (sorry we’re late) is @BillsMafiaDon, who actually has blogged for BillsMafia.com in the past.

How long have you been a Bills Fan, and what’s your earliest Bills memory?
I’ve been a Bills fan as long as I can remember. My mother has always been a huge fan of the Buffalo Bills, so she was able to brainwash me at a young age to be a Bills fan as well. It didn’t really take much effort for her though. I fell in love the very first time she brought me to the Ralph (Rich Stadium). I’ve been fortunate enough to get to witness many Bills games in person over the years, despite not actually living in the area. Having family in the Buffalo area however has helped quite a bit. One of my earliest memories as a Bills fan is the first time I ever hear the Buffalo crowd chant “BRUUUUUCE” in person. I thought that was the coolest thing ever. Still do.

About Del Reid

Del Reid became a Bills fan shortly after coming into this world, having been raised in a home that actually had a framed picture of OJ Simpson on the wall in the living room (until it came down in 1994). Del has always had a passion for bringing people together to celebrate things they share in common. As a result, he (quite accidentally) ended up co-founding the #BillsMafia movement among Bills fans in social media -- which to this point is the coolest thing that has ever happened to him aside from his relationship with God, his wife, and his two awesome kids. Follow him on Twitter at @mrdeadlier.
