There was a lot of chatter Monday night regarding the “official” tailgate location of #BillsMafia. Here’s the deal: #BillsMafia does not have an “official” tailgate location.
We held our first and only “official” tweet up on October 9th last year, and Don Tober along with the rest of Coffin Corner graciously hosted the event. In fact, we had so much fun that many people returned for subsequent games. We are very grateful for the hospitality they have shown #BillsMafia since day one. That cannot be overstated. But the fact is, there are #BillsMafia tweeps all over Ralph Wilson Stadium’s lots and adjacent properties.
No decisions have been made yet as to where the 2012 tweet up will be held — heck the NFL hasn’t even released a schedule yet so we can’t even say when it will be at this point — but we are considering all options. These thoughts have nothing to do with Coffin Corner; like we said, they are awesome people and we really enjoy hanging out there. Perhaps it will be held there, perhaps it will be held somewhere else. We’re not there yet in the decision-making process.
But no matter what decision we make, whether it be to hold the Tweet Up at Coffin Corner again (assuming they will even agree to host it) or somewhere else, it is not a referendum on what the best place to tailgate it is. Anytime you get more than one Bills fan in the same place, it’s going to be a fun time! Our main concern is selecting a location that is accessible to as many people as possible and is willing to have us.
