Mafia Monday Interview with @xTRLRx

Welcome to Week 10’s Mafia Monday. Not much to say after yesterday’s game, but #BillsMafia is family and we stick together. Today we get to know fellow Mafian @xTRLRx a little better.

Mafia Monday is an interactive element where members of the community can get to know each other and build unity by becoming transparent.

How long have you been a Bills Fan, and what’s your earliest Bills memory?
I’ve been a Bills fan since I could understand football, so probably 4 or 5. My earliest memory is the last Superbowl there was this big store we went to where all they sold was Bills AFC champion merchandise.

What is your favorite Bills memory?
Probably my first Bills game. I was 9 or 10 and it was a birthday present. It was the middle of November, freezing cold, and Todd Collins was our QB. We got blown out by the Patriots, but the atmosphere fueled my love for the team.

What was the first Bills game you attended? Most memorable?
The first game was the same as the previous answer. The most memorable was actually this year Bills vs. Raiders. The crowd was amazing and the security guards were going down the aisles of our section high-fiving fans every time we scored.

Do you own any Bills jerseys, and if so what ones?
I own Dareus, Reed, Parrish and a Poz jerseys.

Favorite current Bill?
Favorite current would have to be Dareus, he’s a beast.

Favorite former Bill?
Growing up I idolized Andre Reed, he was the reason I wore 83 in football. Once I got switched to FS though, I started paying a lot more attention to Kurt Schulz and started trying to copy his style of play. So really I’d have to pick those two because they were my idols.

What is your favorite team to watch lose to the Bills?
Patriots and Jets.

Best tailgate food?
I used to love hamburgers and steak, but Derek and I tried sandwiches and brownies last time… Trumped hamburgers by a lot.

Other sports you enjoy following? If so, favorite teams?
I follow hockey and lacrosse. Sabres and Sharks are my favorite hockey teams and the Bandits and Edmonton Rush for lacrosse.

Lastly, what does “Bills Mafia” mean to you?
To me it means loving my team whether we’re up or down. If we were 2-5 instead of 5-2 I’d stand behind my team the exact same way.

Thanks, @xTRLRx!

About Del Reid

Del Reid became a Bills fan shortly after coming into this world, having been raised in a home that actually had a framed picture of OJ Simpson on the wall in the living room (until it came down in 1994). Del has always had a passion for bringing people together to celebrate things they share in common. As a result, he (quite accidentally) ended up co-founding the #BillsMafia movement among Bills fans in social media -- which to this point is the coolest thing that has ever happened to him aside from his relationship with God, his wife, and his two awesome kids.
